Walking Dead is my favourite TV series at the moment and Lego used to be my favourite toys as a kid. And since men never grow up what best than these custom made mini figures.
This guy is really talented and has created figures from other popular series like Game of Thrones. Check them out!
By now I know that I can run but I wanted to expand a bit on this and go scientific completing a Running Ability Test. Simple test and very interesting.
Further to measuring my weight, height, fat % and heart rate the results of the test will give me a clear idea on my VO2 max (VO2 max is your capacity to deliver and utilise oxygen in the muscles) and anaerobic threshold which is the point at which you begin to use carbohydrate as your main fuel source.
The test was conducted in a lab under controlled conditions running on a treadmill and breathing through a long tube every 3 minutes for 30 seconds. The test started at 8km/h and increased by one km every 3 minutes up to the point which I could not run any more. I managed to complete the 3 min run with a speed of 16km/h. After each 30 second measurement the released oxygen and volume was recorded in order to complete the test. After the running phase a drop o blood measured the blood lactate test and completed the process.
There might be some mistakes on my simplified interpretation but you get the idea…
The results will be ready in a couple of days.
